    Nice buck Tracey
But other hunters on properties that surround me
Unfortunately this is the way most hunters think that if they dont shoot them now, someone else will. Not always the case.
I could have shot this guy last year but wasnt worried about someone else shooting him. Sometime , you just have to take a chance

Here is what my chance turned into this year

First of all, you have to be able to hit him. 2nd of all, the pic from 2011 is a close up velvet pic and the pic from this year is further away hard horned.
Not too many big ones on your wall if any

You all make sense. Gonna think hard on it. Tom I know you've taken smaller, when you were younger, I've seen them. Now I'm not a big trophy hunter, more for the meat, but I always said I would not pass one up if the situation was right. So we'll see, probably a long shot anyhow.
Clear your mind, breath, be sure and confident of your shot, commit to the shot, take your shot.

you really have to be kidding IF you cant see that buck added ALOT of inches. his mass hard horned is nearly what it was in velvet the year before. besides being about 6 inches wider

what are you trying to say?..

... Optical illusion.. The older deer has his ears pulled back slightly vs. the younger deer.. Now I know the younger one still has its velvet but that only accounts for maybe ¼ inch of thickness and besides, that photo was taken in early August so his Antlers were still growing.. I say take it..

Axiom learn to judge deer not by the position of their ears , but only using an ear length to show a typical scale, and IF you think velvet only changes a 1/4" on mass you def are new to this
