Piece of advice from what I learned over decades of shooting them. When it comes to flintlocks quality if everything. The only "factory" flintlocks worth purchasing are Lyman and T/C. Other than them two, don't bother unless you like to be constantly frustrated.

You really didn't answer my question but be that as it may, what mikec said is good information. And I would add that a properly tuned lock with a good frizzen and quality flint are your foremost considerations.
You're a ways away but Dixons which is on the way if you head up to Cabelas in Hamburg, PA has one of the largest selections of flintlocks you will find anywhere. Great custom built used and new manufacturer plus everything
else you will need to get you setup correctly. Dixons Muzzle Loading ? Muzzle Loading Shop ? Kempton, PA
