    .22 Revolver

    I am a trapper and looking to buy a used .22 revolver to dispatch raccoons.

    I trap in PA and NY…I am not a good with the axe handle as I used to be for coons….

    NJUplander,

    Um, unless you are a NY resident, with a registered permit for a handgun, you can't use a handgun in NY for hunting/trapping.

    I hunted almost 10 years in PA with a handgun, scoped .22 for small game and a .44 for deer. it.s like bow hunting, ya gots ter get 'em in real close.
    Permit proccess was easy back then, bring hunting liceness, make model and ser# to the county office and pay the few dollars and you were done.

    By the way UNLESS you are a NY resident, you cannot be in posession of a handgun in NY state.
