They only sell them at Musky Trout Hatchery and as Whitetail Crzy said, they are by far the best type of eggs to fish with.

They sell them at the musky hatchery only but call first. Browns are a fall spawning fish and they might not have any this time of year. The one time I called they put me on a list and said they were about $40 per pint! The steelhead are starting to spawn right now. There will be spawning fish for several weeks. Your best bet is to head over to the fish cleaning stations at the Salmon River and offer a few dollars for some eggs. Or Call Shane at Altman outfitters lodge- 315-298-3248 and see what he can do for you.

Last Saturday they wouldn't touch eggs, beads, stone flies, or nymphs. 3" pink Berkley power worms caught 9 Steelies. It's that time of year. These next few weeks are usually pretty tough with the spawn in full swing and the high water comming.
