    anyone ever used Griffin and Howe gunsmiths in Andover?

    I want to have 2 inches cut off the barrell of a rifle, these guys are close to me, do they do good work? I couldn't find any info on them online good or bad.

    I have. They replaced a firing pin that broke in a SxS and I had chokes opened on a SxS. When you see their shop you will realize that they are a class operation that does quality work.
    Just look at some of the rifles they build from scratch.

    I tried calling them 2 days ago but no answer. I need a rear site windage adjustment screw made or the old one repaired for my
    .44 Auto Mag.

    Best gunsmiths around! They cut down the barrel on my 760, as I wanted a carbine., couldn't have asked for a better job...

    Work was well done, however they tried to overcharge me for work that was not agreed upon because they did not anticipate something in the process, that they should have. Took a bit of back and forth, and a manager. In the end I was in the right, and only paid for the agreed upon price which from the beginning I thought was high. There are others out there that are just as good, and lower in cost for the same work.
