I am right handed left eyed dominant . I have shot left handed for 40 years with all but one gun being right handed. I am so used to shooting a right handed gun i sold the leftie because it felt weird. Bottom line you will gt used to it.

    Lefty here also
The 'ejected shells flying past your face' is a nothing-burger...never bothered me at all

The SAFETY, however, IS a big deal. I can manipulate a righty safety, but it wastes time and loses shots on game.

Anything with the safety on the tang -- Mossberg 500, Browning BPS (my preferred pump) or savage/stevens will work well for a leftie

Remington makes mirror image guns, and there are also left handed safeties available for them. I have both, and they work well.

In fact, this will be a special order gun. Nobody is going to stock this specific model. That means you can easily compare prices since somebody needs to order it for you anyway. I'd call my favorite 3 gun shops and ask what their price would be on this model including all shipping and fees.

That's incredibly helpful and I appreciate the info/ recommendation. Thanks again for the help.

Just buy one of each now you’re going to end up with them all in a few years anyway...

We've all been talking about pump guns but a semi-auto like the Remington 1100 is also a good all around gun. So many options. You won't be able have just one.

Yeah the options are definitely overwhelming but I think I'm leaning towards the left-handed Mossberg 500,12g, Field/Deer Combo after some more research and the comments here!

Get the Mossberg in the link and your set until you want to upgrade.

you can't go wrong with that choice, I have been hunting with a Mossberg 500 for over 40 years and taken deer, ducks geese, turkeys, rabbits, pheasant, quail, chukar,(I'm sure some other things) and never had a problem with it.
