    Don't Continue to Subsidize Anti-Hunting!

Don't continue to subsidize anti-hunting, sign the petition!
Help our friends out in NJ legalize Sunday firearm hunting. Only 11 states do not allow full Sunday hunting and this is impacting all of us as Pittman Robertson Funds are pooled from all the states and then distributed back. The lost funding opportunity to the PR program caused by 11 states that do not allow Sunday hunting and 8 states that do not allow mourning dove hunting is yet to be quantified. (But it will be)... The collective loss over the decades is certainly very large (9 digit or more). Every passing year more economic and conservation fund opportunity is lost. Don't continue to subsidize anti-hunting, sign the petition!

1798 - An Act of the General Assembly "suppressing immorality" makes it unlawful to shoot, hunt or gun, or to take fish, on Sunday.

deff not down with sunday gun hunting.. it would be club blast scrapper day. the places large enough to support gun hunting see enough pressure. 'well boys todays the last day so lets let them have it' don't need anymore of that action

All for Sunday gun hunting one more day isn't going to change anything. It's no good for waterfowl season because of the 60 day season.

Your arguments against are illogical. What the hell is the difference which day of the week is the last day? The last day is the last day! Why would Sunday be any different?

With the majority of sportsman working weekdays, it only makes sense to have both Saturday and Sunday available to hunt.

I have no problems with Sunday gun hunting, but the seasons really need to be adjusted accordingly. An extra weekend day of hunting puts a lot more gun hunters in the woods. Our seasons and bag limits need a serious overhaul. We are taking more than mother nature can give. Do the simple math. The government is a perfect example

Ah no better argument than money as to why we should rape and pilage our natural resources. Keep on keeping on mike, can't wait to continue using sunday as the best scouting day of the week

I'm just speculating here, but is this about duck hunting? I seem to remember a post fest regarding this issue recently.

If so, there's a simple solution. How about all you guys worrying about depleting the rescource, push to have one weekday eliminated from the available days to hunt, and then the vast majority of hunters who have both Saturday and Sunday available, can get out there and hunt.

These type of arguments remind me of the gun control arguments where the vocal minority drive policy because they never STFU! They can't bring themselves to punish the criminals, so instead they decide that banning guns is the way to protect society.
In this case it appears that some of you feel that the game populations (ducks?) are being over harvested. So instead of seeking an unselfish solution that benefits the majority and maintains appropriate harvest limits, you instead want to restrict and limit other sportsman ( vast majority) from utilizing their days off to get out to hunt.
