Got back from Maine last night and got everything ready for Youth Day with my son. This would be a morning hunt only, due to a basketball scrimmage this afternoon. We got in the double ladder stand at 5:45 and as soon it was getting light we heard footsteps in the dry leaves approaching. This guy stepped out at 60 yards and my son, put a perfect shot on him with my Ithaca Deerslayer III. The deer ran about 80 yards and went down. He did a good job of gutting and then later skinning it. Still busy butchering now. Photo of my son with his buck and his buck next to my Maine buck. Thanks for reading.

Congrats to you and your son. That is awesome.
Great job fellas, congrats to both of you! How much did that Maine buck weigh? That body on that thing is huge.
Never mind, just saw your other post.
You two are having one heck of a season for sure! Congrats to you both!
