    Scouting value?

If you had to rate deer sign or terrain features from most important to least. What would it be?
Old rubs, new rubs, creek crossings, prints, poop, scrapes, torn leaves, beds, runs?

None of it.concentrate on terrain features that you can use to your advantage...all that sign means is that a animal was thru there

Deer are creatures of habit. A deer trail isn't made by one animal, they have been using it for years for a reason. Smoking gun is right with finding the right terrain features. Bottlenecks, saddles, breaks in rock walls all will concentrate deer to one area. Finding when the deer come through and finding the right stand is up to you.

Pinch points with heavily used trails have always been my most successful spots.

Look for old dilapidated tree stands and throw a hangon or climber near them. The old timers knew what they were doing and the deer don't change all that much. Good luck!

Look for deer crossing signs on roadway which will first let you know an area that holds a lot of deer. Then if you can enter land look for their trails like others have said bottle necks..... funnels.....leading in and out of feeding areas....and bedding areas.....then just set up off one of them....

in my neck of the woods you can hunt bottle necks, funnels, swamps, and ridges. than see nothing terrain features don't mean squat if the deer aren't there. i think post season scouting for me is after this snow melts and i will be looking for old scrape, cluster of rubs , and worn deer trail. 5 yrs ago , post season scouting i found a cluster of scrapes. fall bow season i missed a big 9- pointer at that spot , but nailed him at the end of shotgun. deer sign is #1 wherever you decide to hunt.
