You mean bring the recurve right?^^^
An archer sees how far he can get from his target. A BOWHUNTER sees how close he can get to his!

get on food sources, cut corn fields, or winters grasses.
You can do a lot more for the environment by carrying a rifle then carrying a sign.

I do bait during Winter bow, but stick to your principals. Without bait find a south facing slope with oaks. There are still going to be some acorns under the leaves and snow. The angle of a Southern exposed slope causes the snow to melt quicker than North faces or flatland, somehow the deer know this. After a snow and then a couple of sunny days go look at these types of areas many times the snow will be dug up under every oak! Honeysuckle thickets are also awesome when there is snow on the ground or actually anytime in the winter. Also heavy cedarswamps as they offer great cover and food. Good Luck in your quest to hunt baitfree during Winterbow. I guess I'm taking the easy way out.
