Never used it. It's work hauling, costs $, you're sppoking and educating them every time you go in, it reduces their movements searching for forage, unnaturally concentrates deer and it could spread disease. Bottom line is that it just doesn't feel like the right way to hunt to me. I think we're supposed to minimize our impact on the woods and deer & putting out 50 lbs a week just isn't natural. I think it also provides ammunition for the anti's.

Most areas I don't bother because it just draws in bears, and I only get nocturnal movement. 1 spot I bait, especially late season, because its a small property surrounded by non-huntable grounds. I use bait there as a tool, no different than scents or mock scrapes etc.
I think the danger of baiting is when you end up relying on it. Used as a tool it can be effective and provide a clean ethical shot. But not every tool is right for every situation. Just some.
