Been sighting in/practicing with my new h&r using remington accutips 20 ga. So far I've found 2, new in the box, with the slug upside down in the shell. Good thing my brother noticed the first one or who knows what would have happened!
Anyone ever see this before? Think Remington would do anything about it if I complained?
they will ask you to send the shells in and prob reimburse you. also if you fired it nothing probably would have happened except for poor accuracy.
Well that's good to know!if you fired it nothing probably would have happened except for poor accuracy
Still, you'd think there would be some inspection process. They were bought from the same store, so I assume they'd be from the same "lot". Just strange.
thats a major mis-manufacture. I would get them on the phone asap. see if they cant throw in a few extra boxes for your trouble
A few years ago,I had a problem with 2 lightfield slugs. I mailed them the empty box and they sent me 2 back. Glad I was only sighting in. Rem should do the same.see if they cant throw in a few extra boxes for your trouble
i wouldnt be surprised if they send you afew boxes for your trouble. they are expensive
Not surprised to hear Remington makes a very solid & dependable gun but from past experiance I found their ammo to be less than perfect very undependable poor patterns from from bird shot to buckshot & now slugs I think they better start looking into their quality control dept.
A few years back I had an issue with Federal Steel Shot. I sent them the shells and they fully reimbursed me for the shells and postage. They also sent me at least two boxes of new shells.
Enjoy life. It has an expiration date.
I've tried the info.remington email listed on their site and it didn't go through. Anyone know an email address or #, other than their corporate # that I can reach them at? Assuming most of you have remington on speed dial or something.
Hey, it's worth a shot.
