Correct assuming both parties are NJ residents...any tranfser of long guns to non residents must go through a FFL.

It amazes me that there is a form at all. In America, you hand me the money and I hand you the gun. It's wonderful.

Just print out the forms from the New Jersey State Police's website and fill the appropriated columns in. As for the NIC's check, technically you do not have to do it however if you happen to transfer a firearm to someone who has their FID card revoked ( they still might have it in possession) you could be help criminally negligent. Of course, if its your friend and you know them pretty well their should be no problem.

    Nope. Just the buyer.

You can't do it. NICS is not asvailable to the general public.

Doesn't the form ask for both party's ID Card number?
