Trumps working on the 2nd ammendment

Trump is claiming that he will change a few things, and god i hope he does.

Defend the rights of law-abiding gun owners:
Military bases and recruiting centers - to have a strong military, we need to allow them to defend themselves.
National right to carry – should be legal in all 50 states.
Gun and magazine bans - the government has no business dictating what types of firearms good, honest people are allowed to own.

NATIONAL RIGHT TO CARRY. The right of self-defense doesn’t stop at the end of
your driveway. That’s why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of
Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states. A driver’s license works
in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every
state. If we can do that for driving – which is a privilege, not a right – then surely we can
do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege

I would like to see: National Shall Issue for CHL, National Castle Doctrine, a NICS system without Mental Health gaps ( some States do not share data, NJ is one of them), continued protection for the gun manufacturers from frivolous law suits. Most important thing Trump can do for 2A is appoint 2A friendly judges from the Supreme Court to Federal Judges and appeals courts.

He has his own collection of firearms and is very pro-gun.
I think with how much the NRA has backed him up he will step up to the plate for not just us, but for him as well.

Is there any way he can force the state of NJ to lighten up a little on gun laws?

Is there any way he can force the state of NJ to lighten up a little on gun laws?

The way the bills currently in congress are worded, NJ would have to recognize CCWs issued by any other state as long as NJ permits some type of concealed carry within the state.
    https://www.nraila.org/articles/2015...ty-legislation

The danger here is that NJ could exempt itself from inclusion in any national right-to-carry reciprocity legislation, through an outright ban on CCW for it's own citizens. This would exclude NJ from falling under the provisions of a national CCW law, as the bills are currently written. I realize that NJ has so severely restricted civilian carry as to be almost nonexistent, but if push comes to shove, a federal law mandating NJ recognition of other states' permits could push the liberal NJ legislature to act on banning CCW altogether in the Garden State.

    Just something to think about...
