I'm interested in fishing some wild trout streams in the northwest part of NJ. I live near the Black River and Hacklebarney Park, which I hear has wild trout in the "Trout Brook". Does anyone have any info on fishing these areas or other areas around that have wild trout?

I was thinking about fishing the Blck River tomorrow 6/6/09. In the morning. Its a great spot to trout fish. I also fished Hacklebarny and liked it, but Black River is more accessible. (easy to get into)

also try the headwaters of the passaic over near jockey hollow. where it run through the audubon society presevre is also a good spot. there you have to go inside and get a catch survey sheet and they limit the number of anglers on that stretch. the river is a decent width and is pretty easy to fly fish. if you need a tour send me a pm.
