    i was planning on going down to sandy hook some day soon for some surf fishing, i usually only fish fresh water but i wanna give this a shot, it has been a while since i saltwater fished. i was wondering if anyone knew a website that has sandy hook reports on it, or also if any one knows when the best time to go catch blues or stripers from the shore is , thanks

    I dont know any sandy hook reports, but I always had good bluefish/striper action at dawn or dusk on an incoming tide. good luck out there

    shoot... i fish the rocks both surf and poppers out on the rocks in union beach like 1/4 mile from the keyport fishing pier... and i catch mostly weakies and stripers... i have not gone this year.. but i am scared bc from what i been reading u can catch a blue fish on every cast...
    Ima meatatarian.... i only eat meat...it's a personal choice that i have made....
