    Trying new braid

Thinking of trying out some diawa samurai braid, i have been using power pro for years with good luck but a local shop recommended the diawa. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff

Never tried that braid. Power pro is ok. The new Power Pro slick is really good but expensive. Depends on the fishing, but I us a hollow core braid when fishing for Tuna and bigger game fish. Try the Slick or Jerry Brown, they offer Hollow Core and solid braid.

Cortland Spectra, Dacron ,and Toro Tamer are all top quality Braid, the Hollow core is nice because you can do a line to line splice if you have the threading needle.

If you do go with Diawa Feel the braid before you buy it. If the line is real rough i would stay away from that braid. If the braid is anything like spider wire . Hope this helped you out.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.”

Power pro slick is nice at first but it seems to turn into regular power pro pretty quick. Its like they jut waxed regular power pro lol. But its supposed to be even thinner I believe.

I know some guys who use the daiwa. I havnt heard any complaints about it. The reason for them switching is that the samurai is thinner then the others wich will ip your capacity with some of the smaller reels.

Im using power pro on all my reels except one that i have super slick on. Not a ton of difference between them. I was told the diawa was 10 times the braid that power pro was but havent seen it yet

well i picked up the new Abu 7001i tonight and loaded it up with #55 diawa samurai line. It looks awesome, very thin, smooth and limp. It should cast well but the proof will come saturday on the island
