Went out this morning and had a doe walk back and forth in front of me at 15 yards. She couldn't figure out where I was. Her fawns had that "what's goin' on" confused look. Little did they know that mother was spared today. I could have shot her 5 times from my ground hide.
On the way out I came across the big dump. I am going to try to get a camera and a mock scrape in there.
Where did I mention deer poop. The original title of the post was Holy Crap. It may very well be bear crap. I have witnessed largs droppings like this made by deer long before bears ever showed up in the area. Bear scat can come in many forms. I'm putting a camera there anyway. We'll see what it is in the neighborhood.
I am having a hard time pulling the string again, JB. In desperation to see the good bucks show up in range. I bumped into one tonight. I don't know who turned inside out more, him or me! [wallmad] It has been fun with the does and dinks though.
I wish I were for real. Getting it done while I'm able I guess.
This was actually a tip for anyone that doesn't take this shit seriously. Just like rubs and scrapes the sign says a buck was there. There is a good chance he might come this way again..
X7 next time you are scouting with a buddy take a box of milk duds. When he isn't looking pour some on the ground and point to it. Say "Look deer poop".
Then grab a handful stick it in your mouth and start chewing. Then say " Nine pointer with kicker off left side.. nice buck". The look is priceless [rofl]
