    Mossberg 500 20ga. For Turkey

Thinking of using my Mossberg 500 20ga. from time to time this turkey season, problem is finding a turkey choke for this shotgun model/gauge, no problem finding turkey chokes for a 20ga. in other brands/models.

If anyone that uses a Mossberg 500 20ga. for turkey what turkey choke do you use?

    Thank you !!!

Cheaper than dirt has them. I have 2, 20 guage 870's that my kids use. Have xfull chokes, and use 3", 4 shot. Make sure you get a choke made for heavy shot if that is what you are going to use. I use regular non-heavy loads. Been good out to 40 yards.

My whole family are using the mossberg 20ga 500 for turkey. We all bought the xtra full turkey choke direct from mossberg. They put down turkeys like its nothing good luck.

Check out the Federal Heavyweight shells. 1.5 oz load in a 20 gauge. Size 7 weigh about as much as lead #5 so you can get plenty of pellets and yet still good penetration with the smaller load. Last year my nephew used the factory full choke with Remington heavyshot #5 out of his 500 and he got good patterns out to 30 yards. May want to try the factory full before you go out and buy another choke.

since I will use this for turkey once in a while I think I will opt for the Primos Tight-Wad, it's 1/2 the price of the Mossberg choke. HeviShot 13 can be used with the Primos

    Thanks for the info!!!
