Does anyone have a link or list of New Jersey towns with no firearm and\or bow discharge ordinances?

At this point there are probably way to many to list

A better way for you to find out may be to let us know what town your looking to hunt and someone will be able to let you know if they have a no discharge ordinances.

does no discharge include the bow too, or is it town specific? meaning, are some towns no bow and no gun or just no gun?

Most town are no discharge of ANY weapon at all including bows. Unless you are on a hunt like the UBNJ or county park hunts which issue special permits that would allow you to hunt with a bow, it never hurts to ask but in most cases no discharge of ANY weapon including bows [sad]

I wouldn't say most. Very few ban bow discharge as well.

I'm actually doing lots of scouting, no particular town in mind. I think it would be a great resource to have a list, then I wouldn't have to worry about wasting my time scouting in a town with a no discharge law. I was checking some areas in Toms River\Brick and found that the have no-discharge according to another post on this site. I'm surprised there isn't something like this already available to hunters.

Maybe down south, I have over the last few years called and checked into SEVERAL towns around North Jersey and they all say the same thing when and if they have a no discharge ordinance. NO discharge, Means no weapon discharges at all including bows and arrows, a few years back it was called no firearms discharge, but most town have amended it to a no weapons discharge to include bow and arrows. So from my experience at least in the northern part of our state you can't hu8nt even with a bow in a town with a no discharge. If you don't believe me just make a few calls. A few towns have even passed a NO carrying of any weapons with in the town borders ordinances, so the liberals can even get you for just carrying a bow a feild to hunt in there town, at least that's what a few police stations have told me lately when I questioned them about there local ordinances pertaining to hunting

Can you list these towns? I think you are mistaken. Again, I know of very few (I can count on 1 hand) that ban archery equipment. I would certainly not say that is "most"

I made a list a while back I'll try and get one up for you when I have the time. Off the top of my head these few jump out Wayne, Oakland, Parsippany and Clifton. Not that there are a lot of deer in Clifton but you can't hunt or shoot at a target in your yard but there are planty more.

A quick look at Wayne's code does not mention Archery equipment at all except in public parks.
