I shot my first edible deer last week (shot one two seasons ago, but it spoiled by the time I recovered it) and got it back from the butcher last night.

I brought it to V. Roche, and I am so impressed by their operation. The place is spotless. The meat is packed and labeled very professionally. And their summer sausage (which I'm nibbling now), is fantastic.

I'm going to eat this deer fast, so I'd better go out and get another one.

He's located on railroad rd. in Whitehouse Station. Right near the train station about a mile or two off rt. 22.
