Anyone have a sample permission hunt letter that I can use between the landowner and myself or just use the simple card in the hunters ed course book?

Same one I used. Simple and easy. And the wardens recognise it.
I have never sat around a campfire, holding hands, and sang Kumbaya

Yup. I use the one from the regs and the homeowner prefers it as it is more "official". Not that they care muh, but it's from the state so it must be legit and legal

def worth it...it is not as much if you get hurt its if you hurt anyone else while hunting..makes the land owner feel better that you can handle it god forbid something happens.

When we had written letters(from the landowner) and cards at one of the properties i hunt we had about 9 guys on it. we used card from the digest and the landowner drew up rules and regs and we signed them. now he has kicked everyone off the property and its only me and 2 other guys with no guests allowed but you have to respect the land owners wishes..much nicers with only 3 of us on 200+ acres

In the letter that i submitted to another property which i got denied access to hunt since he said his little children might be at risk was i told them why i chose their property, what i was going to be hunting, when i was going to be hunting, told them about my ex lia. insurance, offered to help them when ever they need it, offered to post the property for them, and also offered to pay a small lease fee during hunting season.

Have you guys actually read the insurance policy to see what it would cover? I know a few years back I was looking into the extra liability insurance I would get through a few orginizations and they were all a joke if you could actually get any info on them. I found it real hard to get info but when I finally did get some info it was a secondary insurance policy that kicked in after your homeowners was exhausted. If you didn't have the homeowners umbrella coverage or a rider to cover hunting you got nothing from the secondary policy, so for most it is just a ploy to make you think you are covered when in fact you are not.
