Dids a lil research to determine if there was any truth to the buck/doe....lumpy/pellet poop theory.
According to the scientists its all about the diet.
Im bored and off from work today! LOL!
My spot where im baitin is loaded with pellets/lumpy/etc.
Im feedin em corn and butternut squash.
I know they're a wild animal but do they "just go" when they have too?
Poopin where they eat, I figure they wouldnt drop a duece right ON their food source.
i think the key is more about freshness.. telling you about when the deer was there....the best advice on that is break open a poo pellet..if its still steaming..LOOK UP!
Well it was something that just popped into my head yesterday. I dont claim to know it all. I assumed it was diet just tryin to strike up conversation and see what other input someone may or may not have. Sorry to bother ya.
The only research I do is to put a fresh pellet in my mouth and swish it around. You can taste what they've eaten if it's fresh. most are pretty nutty.

They sure do. In my observations and opinion the go more so as they are spending more time in the same area. I'll let you know another secret, they urinate while bedding, then get up and shake it off like a dog. I had 3 bed 45 yds in front of me, they got up and came closer but the pee'r gave me the best shot.[hihi]
