    I know they like apples and corn , But do they like to eat pumpkins ? Will they eat whole pumpkins or should they be smashed ?

    yes sir! the deer on my property LOVE pumpkins...its like a special treat for them lol i normally smash them

    They eat them at my house..I put the "decoration" pumpkins in the back of my yard and smash them after Halloween...

    I've never used them as "bait", but I'm sure it would work. They are pungenet when smashed, which will cast a nice and interesting odor down wind for the deer to detect.

    i nhunt public so its kind of a waste of time baiting all you will draw is more hunters into your area never baited and see pleanty of deer getting a shot is a nother thing public land deer are very smart they walk looking up in to the trees at times i think a ground blind might do better to fool them

    Hell Yeah they like to eat pumpkins the only bad part is hauling them in to your spot.
