    Ladies and Gents,

I heard a rumor around the fellas in my area that the state released 23 pairs of mountain lions in the state. It would not surprise me one bit since there has been few sightings called in to the police in the area. Has any any info on this??? I was told it was to better control the deer population. I think this is crazy. Whats next releasing woves here?? We already have problems with the coyotes looking for food. We have a lot of them around here as it is. I worry about this since I have my dog on a run we he needs to go out or when I like to hike in the state park near my house. If this is true, will we be able to carry a side arm with us when we go hunting??...Lets face it outdoormen, we could be the hunted out there. If this is true, has the powers to be realized what mountain lions have done to California when people decided to move in to lion country??? People got hurt and even killed.... DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY INFO ON THIS???

Merry Christmas and Have a Healthy New Year...

    Thanks for listening.....Jay

It's not true. It wasn't the state, it was a bunch of insurance companies that wanted the deer killed. There were actually 28 pair and they were not fed for 3 weeks prior to releasing them. They were dropped by unmarked black helicopters at night. I only know this because my sister's friend's brothers live-in girlfriend works for the company that makes the stealth coating that is on the helicopters. This special coating is also applied to the mountain lions so they can not be photographed.

I heard they are going to release some African lions to take care of the bear population in northern NJ in a couple of months.

Woody, Tell me this. How in a state covered with trial cams, bow hunters, gun hunters and trappers is there no solid pictures and sightings. Never mind the millions of cars killing everything that walks across this state.
