I second using the scraps for furbearers, crows, or just making a "carcass cam" with your trail cam.
A butcher giving you back your deer scraps is like a plumber snaking your drain and giving you a bag of sh@t back.

Mitchell's in Hawthorne, which is an absolutely disgusting shop located on a residential street, in a ramshackle garage does the same thing. Box of scraps with cigarette ash in it. Went once years ago and never went back, obviously....
Guys like this just make you appreciate guys like Jimmy from the Hunterdon Deer Butcher. An immaculate shop, with more refrigeration than you can imagine and a super nice guy and nice, clean meat back.
