    Another treestand fall

My wife got a text from one of her co workers stating that she was absent today because she was at the hospital with her husband who fell out of his tree stand last night. He fell 20' and landed on his head/shoulder, miraculously he didnt break any bones but suffered muscle and ligament damage to his neck. Wear them harnesses! This is becoming way to common.
You see the size of that GOSH DARN chicken?

When are people going to learn....
When times are tough and flocks are small, take your time and shoot them all.

I'm sorry but you gotta be about a retard to sit in a treestand 20' up without a harness. Glad he is ok and hope the bump on his head knocked some sense into him.

Yea I honestly don't understand why people don't wear em. If you do it right in the first place...you never even realize they are there! I'll never get it.
It only takes a second to clip in. Stay safe and hunt smart.

I even sit in a secured double ladder stand with harness on! But I want to continue hunting into my 60s.

Agree 100 % I wouldn't get 5 ft off the ground without one. I wouldn't put my wife thru it let alone myself. I don't get it!!!

The amazing thing is years ago there was no such thing as a portable treestand and safety belts,we built them out of wood and they were permanent and very seldom heard of anyone falling out of a treestand. Why so many falls now a days when so many people are aware of the fall risk of treestand hunting.
