Removing moss from your roof.... Suggestions/what to use

Got some moss growing on the north side of my roof. I have an A-Frame with a very steep pitch so getting on the roof is out of the question. Open to any suggestions: how to do it, what chemical to use or last option would be to hire someone. I'm located in Sussex County Byram Township. Any and all suggestions are welcome. If any contractor wants to give me a call for an estimate, I'm open for that also 973-786-7916 Thanks, Ed

Bleach, 50/50 with water, spray it on when it's cloudy out so it doesn't dry out to fast. Wait a day or two then rinse, repeat any spots you may have missed. Once your done have a roofer apply zinc straps across your whole roof line one course down from the ridge and you'll never have the problem again. Very inexpensive solution to your problem. Roofing manufacturer's used to mix zinc in with the granules but stopped for some reason, never had that problem years ago, only with wood shingles.

If not the bleach use vinegar.

I do my roof and siding every 2 years on the shady side using clorox outdoor bleach in my 2 gal sprayer mixed per directions. add a small amount of dish soap, cap full, this allows the mix to float on the shingles and not soak in. use a deck brush on stubbren areas and rinse with the garden hose not a power washer. if you have a steep pitch use a long ext. ladder at the same pitch and maybe the sprayer and ladder combo will reach.

By using a brush, you're just shorting the life of your roof by removing the granules that protect the tar underneath. If you install the zinc strips, you won't have to wash again.http://www.zincshield.com/home.html
