Cover scents and scentlock do they work???

Well i have hunting deer for 8 years now and got to thinking about cover scents and if they actually work. So in MY WAYS OF HUNTING i hade a pile of apples 20yards from my blind so i figured on the use of a APPLE COVER SCENT would be the correct way to go and smashed apples on my SCENTLOCK clothing and boots i never seen so manny deer at one time untill the wind shifted out of the north west and wow how fast they ran and i was scented down from head to toe. So my question is are their such things as a COVER SCENT in my studys NO keep this in mine try puting a vanilla scented candle a chease steak a pile of shit a 5th of vodka fox piss all on your kitchen table and see if one scent can mask the other.IT CANT but i sure love that TINKS 69

I'm of the opinion that there is nothing you can do to completely hide your scent from a deer straight down wind of you. You can be clean and scent free enough early in the hunt that you appear further away or as if you were there "earlier" but again there's nothing you can do other than staying down wind to remain 100% undetected...

I just spray down, try limiting how much I sweat on the way in, and let the chips fall where they may. I don't worry about wind direction usually cause deer can come from any direction. Just when you think you know where they come from... One sneaks in from the opposite direction.

Another question, is the Scentlok clothing worth it? Stuff is crazy expensive.

Thunderhead...wind direction is the most important thing to consider.....

Deer movement patterns and wind direction determine treestand locations

Half the stuff out there is made to sell to hunters, not to help kill deer. Just my two cents. But I'm still dumb enough to buy it.

I don't think we will ever know if they truly work so am of the opinion that if it don't scare them it can't hurt, deer have walked right into me sitting on the ground while using these products and never new i was there so IMO always using the wind to your advantage is the best and if you want to spend money on the cover scents and scent lock suit go ahead it cant hurt every little advantage helps.
