The only problems are having handgun ammunition shipped to NJ.

If you can find ammunition, yes for now, in NJ you are still allowed to purchase online/mail order etc. Who knows what will pass in the future...

I ordered from impactguns.com with no problem. I think you can also order from sportsmanguide.com as well if they have any ammo at all.

So handgun ammo is the only thing you cant order by mail? What about ammo that can be used in handguns and rifles like 22s?
I know when I buy my 22mag boxs at walmart they always ask if its for a handgun. Of course I laugh and tell them no.

Some places outright refuse to ship handgun calibers to NJ ..... such as Midway. Strange, since they are such a big NRA supporter.

Other places require a photocopy of your NJ FPID card in their files before they ship, which I've done.

I called Cabelas the other day because I wanted to know if I should bother to check their website for in-stock .45 at reasonable prices. The sales/customer-service rep told me they had no such NJ restrictions. Seemed kinda odd to me.

I just got an order of shotgun shells from Nitro Ammo Company last week.

Cabelas is also a good source for ammo -- at least shotgun ammo. just ordered a case of Remington and Herter's field loads no issues whatsoever. Now, basspro will not ship to NJ, so I do not do any business with them.
