    what are some of your favorite baits, both live an rubber bait to use for fluke?

    The old squid and minnie on a fluke rig never failed me but I been doing great with the gulp 4 inch mullet in charchuse, on a spro bucktail in random weights depending on how deeep and drift speed. smelts work good to or if you can catch some snapper blues put one of those on and you might catch a doormat.

    Problem is the doormats are in the deeper water, and the the snappers are in the bay...if you can catch 'em and keep 'em alive, you are gonna do WELL.

    if your door mat hunting use mackeral fillets about an inch wide and the longer the better.

    Live spots or snapper work best for the biggest fluke. If not than use fluke belly or sea robin cut in long thin strips.
