    SD 8,

I looked into a few companies last yr for a 3 bay pole barn/garage.
I found it a bit cheaper to let the local builder just put up a garage built like a pole barn on a slab.

The savings were in shipping, upgrades needed for snow weight regulations etc.

If you have a local builder/contractor ask him to figure up an estimate using specs that the kit would consist of.

I ended up actually getting a better built bldg for less $$, excluding the upgrades I asked for.

Here are the companies I looked at for info.

    Old Town Barns
    DIY Pole Barns
    Morton Bldgs
    Fetterville Pole Barns
    Pioneer Pole Barns
    Barn Pros

Barn Pros is the company that supplied the kit for the 6 stall horse barn that is on our property. The previous owners put it up. I had an identical bldg put up by the local contractor for less.
But the quality of the Barn Pros kit is fantastic. All 2x6 T&G.

Fetterville had a couple of garages that I was considering before going local.

    FYI

This is a pic of the barn although not a great one. But it is a pole kit on a floating slab.

This is the garage going up by the local contractor, not finished at that point. He used more 6x6 supports than the orig company's plans at a lesser $$$ amount.

Not worth the HASSLE. 1st off wood posts do not get set into the ground in concrete....and so on. what a disaster. Get your builder and save money and aggrevation.

    bmTate,

I don't remember exactly but I am gonna guess around the $28K mark. That includes the electrical work. Sub panel with underground pipes run from the barn, 3 4 bulb overhead all weather lights, 7 GFI outlets, 4 exterior decorative lights.

The excavation work, fill, and slab ran another $12K.

    Bldg is 36x26, 2x6 T&G, 10x10' doors, 3 windows with a side entrance door.

Slab is 12"+ around the outside for approx 2' in, the rest is 8" all reinforced with steel, 2 drains.
