    Beretta 92FS v. Beretta 92A1

So I just got my FID card and permit today and went to the gun shop and they only had a Beretta 92A1. As you know, the 92A1 is just like the FS except with a rail. The A1 costs $699 v. $599 for the FS but it comes with 3 mags instead of 2. Shoud I wait for the 92FS or take home the A1? I like having the option of a light/laser but I'm not sure I like how they look aesthetically.

Personally, I like the look without the rail. That being said, I prefer the M9 over the 92FS. Mostly because of the of the straight dust cover, and the "M9" and "USA" markings on the M9.

Mags for the 92 are cheap and plentiful, 2 vs 3 mags wouldn't influence my decision.

Honestly, I think the FS looks nicer as well, and the trigger guard I don't like how it's rounded. My major drawback was that I could get the A1 tomorrow vs. waiting sometime next week for the store to get in the FS.

    I would wait.

Did you ever check out the M9 model? Do you know what a straight dust cover vs a slanted dust cover is? If your into aesthetics, you will appreciate the look of the straight dust cover.

And if you really want a nice looking Beretta, go for the 92FS Inox w/straight dust cover. Most current production 92FS Inox I have seen are built on the M9 straight dust cover frame.

I really like the straight dust cover but prefer the one's made in Italy so I'm not an M9 fan. The Inox seems like a good option though. So I kinda fucked up today, I ended up purchasing the a1 because I thought I could take it home today and my NICS was delayed and now the store is telling me there's no way to reverse to modify the permit to put down an FS. Feeling pretty sheepish lol. I got 2 permits though but I was gonna use the other one on a Glock next month.

It's a great gun weather it's the FS or A1. You really didn't make a mistake. So, let's talk Glock now. My next favorite pistols.
