I was recently over at the zone 17 portion of Colliers Mills and noticed the one field has been burned.  Does anyone know what they plant there?

Idk, i think they let farmers farm there, as long as they leave 15% of the crop there, for the wildlife.I saw thme burning the fields at pwquest like 3 years ago.

It looked like a controlled burn.

More than likely there getting ready to plant warm season grasses...Or they were burning off already existing warm season grasses...They need to be burnt off everyother year or so

They're doing controlled burns all over the Pines. They had to stop this week, too dry and too windy.

In the end, it's the "HUNTER" that gets the deer not the BOW !
The bowman, to be successful as a hunter, must learn to perfection the habits of his game.
NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF BOW HE USES !

Just a controlled burn, they do it every late winter/spring.
