i dont hunt them, but when they tear up my yard, I stick one end of the hose in the hole that they pop out of and turn it on...this flushes them out to the other side and when they pop out of the other side of the little tunnel they dug.....BAM! hit em in the head with a shovel...little trick good ol gramps taught me when i was a kid

Woke up at 5am, put on my camouflage
Wiped off my .243 and fired up my Dodge
Headed out to my ol' deerstand back in the pines
Gonna get me a ten point buck with 11 inch tines, yeah

Lou... that's funny.  It brings back memories of Caddyshack.

Ground hog hunting is fun, the best thing would be goto dairy farmers and ask if you can groundhog hunt their land... MOst will jump on you taking out some hogs for them...Doesn't hurt in asking

Shoot them with a bow.  Eat the backstraps...heard they are good...chuck the rest.

Seriously, Get your rifle permit and a varmint rifle ( a .223 will do in this State ) and go knock on a few farmhouse doors. Most farmers will welcome you if they have a problem. The larger varmint guns shoot further and flatter, but they are louder and can wear out your welcome. .22 rimfires tend to riccochet too much
There are many farmers that have open their farms up to me for deer hunting, after I helped them with their chuck problems
A real bonus !!

In the end, it's the "HUNTER" that gets the deer not the BOW !
The bowman, to be successful as a hunter, must learn to perfection the habits of his game.
NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF BOW HE USES !

Correct me if I'm wrong but if we kill all the golfers they'll lock us up and throw away the key....

Here's a photo of a couple of " former " residents of my farm.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b190/Nightstalker911/4-4-02-3.jpg
I came home from work one day and Mrs. NS911 pointed out a Ground hog out by our woods. She said it looked like he was sticking his tongue out at me.
If he was, it was the last thing he ever did. I shot him right from my deck.
The shot was 355yds. ( .22-250 w/ 4X12 scope )
