So, the last two times I've scouted for turkeys I found bears, not just one mind you, but multipul bears!!!
I saw just last tuesday one smallish looking bear sitting in a field, he was fixed on the old logging road that comes into it. that's when a much larger bear, (uh sorry woods dolphin) comes into the field and chases the smaller one out!! And then last night, I was walking a trail and hear a whineing sound and the see 3 cubs about 20 pounds or so climbing a tree!! I thought, "Oh crap!! wheres momma!" but then I rememberd that the bear group says that a sow won't defend her cubs!!! yeah right someone did'nt tell this girl! She sat under that tree the cubs where in and Glared at me as if to say "try it pal, I rip your arm off and beat you with it!" Anyway, so far I've been in the Jersey woods TWICE and saw a total of 5 Bears, but I thought there aren't that many!!!  __________________ Hunt with a Vizsla, Cause life's to short to hunt with an ugly dog!

Did you find the pic-a-nic basket?
If they charged would you be able to defend yourself? In the Vote for Me thread, when i got my first turkey, the weekend before a huge bear decided to follow right where i walked to set up my blind. Then another time i had one make circles in the dirt. Oh yea, fun fun fun til I poop my pants. __________________ |

| Got a picture of 4 pretty big bears sitting 20 yards from my back door here in north Jersey. Didn't think they bunched up like that. They are all over the place. | ||

Damn things are a pain...Very hard to see when you are walking in the dark.
Most will either run away or pop their jaws if you get to close, But the real big ones just stand there and look at you till you see them. The big ones don't run. Seeing a huge bear in the daytime is cool....Seeing one 10 feet in front of you in the dark is another story. Been there - Done That . __________________ <- <- <- <- ~ <- <- <- <-

Bears are everywhere. My dad had 5 in his yard yesterday in feeding and I had a monster in my garage. Last weekend  __________________ You can do a lot more for the environment by carrying a rifle then carrying a sign.

| The big ones don't scare me as much as the 2-3 year old ones do. They have been getting there butts kicked everywhere they go since getting kicked out by momma and are trying to show their own dominance. These ones generally have a bad attitude. | ||

O.K. I went out scouting again and saw 5 more bear, thaat brings the total to 10.

| come bear season I have quite a few that come right through the yard...and I live on an old farm so I can pretty much stick the muzzle out my kitchen window and let the lead fly.. | ||

If you were paying attention you would have noticed the F&G pickup truck near the bears hidden in the bushes that is used to transport them to different parts of the state to make it seem like we "have a bear problem" and to "incite a hunt." __________________ "Ill luck is homebred"
