I work days so this would give me more hunting time! And if they charge a fee for it this would bring in the money the state wants. I say make it bow only, but then you'd get back to all those gun hunters saying the bow guys get all the deer.....so let the xgunners in to to make everyone happy

I will not insult as we are all allowed our own opinion no matter how assinine it is. i would have to disapprove of this form of deer hunting as this takes hunting out of the word hunting and moves it into the catigory of "KILLING". Night time gives the Bucks in NJ the time to grow and the safty the need in this over populated over hunted and poached state we live in. This would cause hunting accidents to rise poaching to increase and the qulity of Bucks would fall not to mention putting the ethical hunter who hunts during the day to a complete disadvantage! Night vision is for killing taliban and preditors not DEER.! So as rediculous as your question might be I respect your oppinion and not Insult you but I hope some of what I said makes sence and keeps hunting as just that HUNTING..!!!

Sounds great. Perhaps I can also start using a new method of harvest, a "CORNGRENADE", yeah it looks like a harmless ear of corn but take a bite and BAM.

If I use night vision goggles, how will it effect my draw? I'll need a new bow!

But I don't see a problem with it. The deer this season around me seemed to have gone nocturnal 90% of the time. I sat so many hours this season only to see the deer coming across the field to my bait just when it got too dark even for a lighted pin.

But I still don't see how I'm going to see through my peep, get a proper anchor points with night vision goggles. These things are like large binoculars strapped to your head. It would open a whole new product industry, hmmm, stimulus money, create jobs?

I'm for it, but only if the technology to bow hunt at night is there. The gunner's already have enough of an advantage.

Can I use a crossbow, over bait, on Sunday nights, from September to March, with unlimited doe tags?

forgive me for saying this:  jakesbeard for a guy who is the one of the men to stand up for hunting rights in trenton and to offer your services to track wounded deer with a dog and for that  i commend you but you seem really bent on alienating differnt types of hunting  such as gun hunting during 6 day where clubs have been around  before 1900 and on,  crossbows during bowseason (which in my opinion dont agree with) however i do not oppose because one more crossbowhunter is one less bystander or even worse a anti hunter

i really am getting tired of hunters bashing hunters, compound, recurve, gun, muzzeloader, drive clubs, public vs private, spike vs 130 or more, does vs buck   To each his own!!

remember we are all hunters

I'd feel very unsafe at night, especially if hunting public land.

They would probably add a regulation where you would need an approved strobe attached to the top of a reflective helmet. But you will need a $28 users permit plus take a safety course on its use. Plus a yearly $10.50 strobe permit......

Once again for those who don't or can't read, NOT my idea,Not my worry either as there is no management of deer in this state and won't be any time soon.

I did ask the question to get a rise but mark my words you will see this proposed by those with more of an eye on their margine than you have on maintaining any level of sporting tradition.
The mantra of the "Environmentalist" is get rid of the deer and todays deer hunter is a more than willing acomplis.I should have been surprised at how many would go for this right out of the gate but i'm not.
Oh well it's late and I just got in time to hit the hey John Prine was great down in RedBank tonight.
