Does anybody hunt gray squirrels in the real South Jersey? I don't seem to see anybody in the woods after the deer seasons are over.

I usually hunt Union Lake of Buckshutem WMAs. 90% of my hunting is there.

MR, most of my hunting was along the Whitemarsh Run, west of Fairton Rd. I also spent alot of time around the lake, usually around the bluffs. I definitely miss those good old days.

I haven't gone in years. When my hounds were still alive, I'd take 'em to Assunpnk and do after season deer scouting, while I also squirrel hunted. It was a lot of fun, finding the rat tucked in against the tree or in the crotch of some limbs. I'd carry small 10X bino's to pick out a piece of them. Can't wait for the season to start up again. I used to hunt them alone and did very well but once my dog turned on to them it is a whole lot more fun watching her work the scent. I hunt the real south-Cape May county.
