Depends on what your hunting. Deer?  Birds? Squirrels?

It also depends on where you're hunting.  You might be at an early morning spot, late morning.  You have to pattern your deer, so it's not as cut-n-dry as say "I will be in the woods at...".

I try to get in stand just at legal time which is half hour before sunrise.   I have taken two deer this year.  A doe during fall bow and a buck permit bow.  Both in the morning.  During both seasons I only saw one deer while hunting late day.  In the morning I saw deer on five of my last six days out including the two I nailed.   In years past it was the opposite.  Most deer were seen and taken late day with limited morning action.  The deer I saw this year showed between 7:45AM and 9:30AM.  So, I prefer to get on stand prior to legal time but have been a bit late and scored anyway.
