i bought a string rigging kit last month in it was this [img]http://www.newjerseyhunter.com/images/uploads/1258387523.jpg
null[/img]

i purposely held it like that to show how thin/thick it is.

is this for the shelf, instead of using a rest, whisker bicuit, etc??

if i was to use it,should i only shoot feathers? or can i shoot vanes too?

It's for the heal of your combat boots, if you ask a Marine...

Actually, it sits on the shelf of a bow to reduce noise. It does NOT take the place of a rest on a compound bow.

Your bow. Right on the inside part of your bow wear your drop away rest goes so if the arrow hit against the riser it wont make as much noise.

great, thanks.  it does deaden the noise.

i found a leather backed tape that is applied to the ramp instead of a rest, whisker biscuit,is that reccomended for compounds too,or recurves only??

I use mole skin on a few areas of my bow. on the bottom of my sight (in case my arrow rises up and hit its...makes a noise) I put some on the grip of my bow cause it was irritating my hand after a few shots.

mole skin is the answer to all your needs
