well was gonna duck hunt the opener for coastal but i got a invite fri to fish a striper tourney on sat so i did.. we caught a few on eels and some on the troll we caught alot of huge blues also.  My first reel in on the troll was 2 stripers on one rig

I heard Tuna were jumping off Lavalette yesterday. Freind was out nailing stripers and blues, and did not have the gear for the tuna-

What's the size limit on stripers? Is it still 28" plus on slot? Haven't fished for them in a few years.

its 2 over 28" and if you have a bonus tag you can keep a 3rd

That they were nice bluefins.  A buddy of mine told me they were crashing sand eels.  Nobody he had onboard hooked up but he said it was an awesome show.  A guy on a boat nearby got spooled since he was suing striper gear
