| what happens when we have a bad acorn crop next year? Bears aren't going to sit around waiting for someone to throw food to them, they are going to go get it from your kitchen! | ||

I can't remember if it was Malloy or Barb but when I mentioned hunting for better healt less chemicles ect she promptly brought up CWD which to much of a surprize to me janet quickly stated it was just a small case and that the biologists think that it is because of baiting but can't proove that due to deer being heard animals anyway. which she directed to Malloy. and here is the kicker, according to the CWD Alliance... http://www.cwd-info.org/index.php/fuseaction/policy.stateRegulati ... Quote:
A total of 3,235 wild deer, 129 captive deer, 5 captive elk and 2 captive reindeer from NJ tested negative for CWD from 1997 to 2008. a simple "CWD in NJ" search yielded that so if there was an incident lately I question the facts of it. And it was Molloy who brought it up, I am beginning to think she is evetia from the Daily Record forums __________________ "Ill luck is homebred"

Anthony came dressed in camo, covered in grease and dipping Skoal, spitting every 5 seconds while looking at Babs and grinning like he knew something she didn't while muttering "Git-R-Done" and giggling to himself. I did have my camo NJH.com hat on, my hands did have a little grease on them from tinkering with the jeep, but most was washed off It wasn" skoal it was Grizzly, figured a snuff named after a type bear would only be fitting for a bear meeting. and hell of course I know something Babs don't, every dang sensable person in the world does, we know facts they don't. And the whole giggling and git r done thing was to make them think they was dealing with idiots so they would be thrown of by us having actual facts and truth on our side. Ok now that the fun part is over there are a few other things I wanted to bring up. You know I was thinking about something today that slipped past me last night. Janet said that as hunters Thrud and I have the right to hunt. ok then I should have asked her ok leaving the whole bear management thing aside, why can't we hunt bears then? They are not in any danger of being wiped out,and will actually keep up nicely with the hunts. Also I read the report that DR Tavss put out.....of course there is alot of information that either they didn't use ,didn't think about using or left out on pupose. For instance ok bear complants are on the rise in several states that allow hunts including VA. ok fine what areas are those complaints has there been a population or housing growth causing bears to loose their homes? is there an increase in resturants that the bears can get into the garbage? alot of varibles left out of the report. I am going to read every dang pamphlet, report or anything else they want to give me. that will just make it easier for us to discredit everything they say or do. I also told them about the large bear in the neighborhood and immediatly went into the garbage can crap." when I told them that the neighbors kept them behind 6-8 ft tall fences and I build a storage bin for mine(the wife calls it ft knox) they didn't know what to say.they then followed that with. where were you and your wife? where was an adult? So I had to explain to them that I was almost home from work,my wife was cooking and the kids were in the park with a few other parents. I felt like saying " oh the wife was doing coke and her dealer while i shacked up with a prostitude". It is horrible when they try to make you out to be a bad parent as well. I told them as an adult I know what to do, but how am I to expect a child to do so. Their response was to have the kids in groups as usual will deter bears have the kids YELL AND SCREAM and teach them to THROW ROCKS at the bear. I don't know about you guys but the last thing I want my child doing is yelling and screaming at a bear while throwing rocks at it. The bear is probably already a bit on the nervous side why provoke it. |

The following meeting dates have yet to be announced but here is what is planned so far.
Quote:
West Milford Chapter: TBA (Wed) 7-9 pm Hillcrest Community Center Macopen Rd., W. Milford this is the meeting that cuervo and I attended,a general meeting of sorts but a good primer to see what they are up to month to month. Quote:
Speakers Bureau Training Learn how to give a bear education presentation...or just brush up on the bear facts TBA HillCrest Community Center 1810 Macopin Rd, West Milford, 7 to 9 PM Room 10. THIS is the meeting that should be attended, if not for any other reason than to take notes so a counterpoint to their "facts" can be properly presented. I will post the dates once they are posted on their website, anyone interested in attending contact me by PM. __________________ "Ill luck is homebred"

maybe if you attended a BEAR Group meeting and saw what they were up to you would change your mind.
A planned response to their "facts" that they would present at a T&C meeting where it is on record IMO would be the way to go but to do so you will need to know what they are up to and what they themselves are preparing for. __________________ "Ill luck is homebred"

Good point, kinda like studying before the exam! exactly, we do not have to go to argue or debate, just to see what "tips" they give, write them down and present counters to them at T&C meetings. The link you sent me I will look at later, thanks. __________________ "Ill luck is homebred"
