After moving my stand saturday about 40 yards, i couldnt wait to get out this afternoon.  Started off weird right off the bat.  Right as i got in my stand, i noticed a doe, which actually turned out to be a button buck, looking right at me about 30 yards away.  This is after me and my cousin walked right by it, and my cousin walked by even closer going to his stand.  After about 15 mins he got up and grazed aroung the stand the whole afternoon.  This deer turned out to be the eyes and ears for me.

I had three spikes, a four, two other button bucks and a doe walk by and right under my stand.  Every time this little guy would look in thier direction giving me the heads up.

Well the last time, as i was standing for about two hours straight, this guy looks in the direction behind me. I knew something was coming, and stood absoluty still.  Slowly i could hear the foot prints coming and i prayed it was going to be a shooter.  As the deer came from behind on my left, i looked out the corner of my eye and instantly i knew it was a go.  And man my heart started pounding.  I had only a few second window to get a shot off.  He stood still giving me a great shot but small tree was right in the path of where my arrow needed to go. He started off again and i drew, set the pins, made a small grunt stopping him and let it go.  Everything felt good and he took off like a bat out of hell. He ran right in the direction of my cousins stand.  I txt my cousin right away asking if he saw it and he said it ran right by him.

We checked by my cousins stand and found good blood, and decided to we would give him two hours and come back. With a bunch of flashlights, we followed the blood when i decided i would go ahead a look along the field line, which i hope he didnt go into.  1 million candle power lit his rack right up 20 feet before the field.  What a feeling!  He expired not long after the shot, it looked like he took a running fall and was done.

Well after he was all taken care of, i drove my truck down to the edge of the field, mind its all private property, when we were pulling out when we get lit up with spotlights.  Two officers came through the field and had us get out while they checked our DL and our storys.  Nothing like feeling like a criminal when your having a honest good time.  I understand they are doing their job and we did nothing wrong.  They cleared us and we were off.

Anyway here are the night pics--
