After a rainy morning, went back into my stand about 4PM. Within 20 minutes, a group of does came walking up and the first one to turn broadside took an arrow through her chest. She went about 40 yards, did a little dance and rolled down a small hill. With the drive home to Ridgefield Park, I just got done butchering her. Got skunked last year, so it felt good to get blood on my hands again.

I have a trailer that's in Walpack, so I get to sleep over the night before. So it's not that bad a drive. As for bears, I haven't seen any this year while in the woods. I did go outside Sunday night in the campground and saw our "resident" 500 lb male taking a walk down the road in front of my trailer. In late July, the state trapped a 730 lb problem bear just between the campground and the Walpack Inn. My question, is since Walpack is probably the most remote town in northern NJ, where does he get relocated to? Newark
