Not sure if this has been posted already......... Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. \| This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24, 2009, by the Omama staff. BUT . . this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective ! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act o f 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Briefly ... I did some homework on these ... emailed Senator Garrett and was told that both bills are real but sit in committee and really have no support or hope of moving further ... at least now. For the record, he opposes such firearm regulation and will keep me advised if anything develops on the bills but not to be expected. BUT ... like Dave2122 says ... it is their stated goal so stay viligant and it will come fast and sly .. be prepared for drastic measures fast. Gueen Pelosi already stated she fears violance from the right wing ... I say make her fears reality.
