I spoke with Dicks and they will take it back for a store credit - $170 camera. I just went out and paced it off. The very dark pic is 20 ft away, and the better pics are 7 ft away. And I am not getting allot of other pics for some reason cause 50 lbs of corn is gone in one night.

I did get picks of 3 different 8 points though - I knew of 2 of them - but the 3rd is a pleasant supprize - will be nice next year

pics are from a strip of woods and briars behind my house. I see most of these deer in the evening when they come out to eat the lawns

cant hunt back there - legally - which is whey the bucks come in. even still - there are on the corn in the dark - not in the day

Kah ,

You can always build a remote slave flash for your camera . After looking at your pictures you could get 30 feet plus with one .

kah, what camera ya shooting, the flash seems weak? I use Moultries 100, 1.5 software version, not bad for the bucks.

I'd say the same for most "central Jersey" houses that have "yard" deer. If your seeing bucks frequently, your in a "no discharge area".
I've only seen two spikes on my cameras, since "six day", because hunting is legal outside the 450 rule. Even so, inside the zone, the bucks have become scarce.
Got 48 pics last night, four different families came to my yard feeder, no bucks.

If you have writen permision you can hunt within 450 feet of a building. page 25 in the NJ fish and wildlife digest "Carrying a loaded firearm or nocked arrow within 450 feet of an occupied building or any school playgrounds is prohibited, except the owner or lessee of a building. Note: persons authorized to huntwithin 450 feet of a building must be in the possession of the written permission when hunting.

I am fortunate in that aspect, but there is a small refuge, that the resident deer like. I leave them alone there, don't even walk thru it.
It only takes one disturbance(gun shot) and months are required for them to calm down again. My neighbor used to let a guy in his early twenties hunt there and he would walk in and start blazing. Fortunetly he got the ax because of some neighbors complaints.
There's a huge doe that will bust 120 (I believe) that I'm trying to get with the bow, but she's slick, and now she's always with a big group, which makes it a challenge.
I probably could get a doe that big at the Thompson Park hunt, the does there are huge, but that's not my style of hunting. Besides that, I couldn't stand to let a hunge buck pass, and it's does only there.

nice pics kah, I don't think they came out to bad for 20 feet away, remember a flash is going to spread out pretty far when it is that dark.  Great looking bucks.

Where were the pics taken?  What Town/Zone?  I was thinking of getting one for my property, for two reasons.  One to get pics of some deer, second to see if I can catch the person that cut down my tree stands.
