NJ Hunter / New Jersey Hunting / Wildlife Management / Groundhog in my yard, no discharge allowed in my town, what can I do?

Put a waterhose down one hole, and stand behind the other hole with a well sharpened pitchfork. When the tunnels start to fill, he'll come out the hole you are over. This process also makes it easy for throwing them into annoying neighbors yards.

Thanks for all of the advice, guys.  I'm looking into a Havahart trap right now.  Anyone have a preference for a specific model from prior experience?  Is it legal to trap one of these critters on private property in NJ?  If so, where can I legally drop him off?  Anyone have private land where you want him within 30 minutes of the Cherry Hill area?  I'd be happy to drop him off for free!  lol

My farm is in Shamong. Bring him on down....
I have a lot of friends that trap nuisance Squirrels and release them here. We don't shoot squirrels here.
And we'll let the Ground hog move in and get comfy for a while.....

Then.............

Isn't it illegal to relocate animals past your own property lines?

Its illegal to relocate on public property. Its legal on private property, with permission.

Where I work we cannot use poisons ,and a trap will send the ladies working there crying to the boss.
So our exterminator uses chewing gum to kill them. He gets the sweetest ,sticky bubble gum  and throws it down the holes. He claims they choke on it and die.
So far its been working.

No doubt!!!
Council meeting because it could be a wide spread pandemic, ground hogs everywhere unionizing and moving forward against the walkers..

You must rise up and fight against the 4 legged creatures and take back what is ours.  Fill in the holes of despair with dirt!!

I heard that if you put Grape bubble gum out it will kill it because it cannot digest the gum. Fair grounds use this????????

Pellet Gun, thats what I would do. You could be extra cautious and put a silencer on it and drill him from a window in your house.

I've been trying to catch the varment that got into my chicken coop with a Have-A-Heart trap and haven't been successful.  I have the one end closed with assorted foods close to that end and I have it set as lightly as possible, but it doesn't seem to work all of the time.  The boys have seen various critters running away with the food and so far I have actually caught a squirrel, the cat and a skunk

Same here, get a cage.  You can even pick one up cheap at Harbor Freight if you have one nearby.
