I sent 2 pixs to drag to see if he could post them.  They're old pixs that I scanned but I can't upload them to a host site because they are in jpeg format. One pic is from my 2nd year hunting (1962) and the other pic is of a coyote I shot in 1996.  That coyote was the first 100% eastern strain coyote documented in NY State.  Local people and the Fish & Game believed what was running around in the woods were coy dogs, a domestic dog that mated with a coyote.  The Fish & Game asked if they could have it to test then they sent me the results.

Lets see if I can do this.

This is My uncle who got me started hunting. Billy Kronyak. He was state champion once or twice also.

I would guess this pic is from the 1950's maybe the 60's

I finally was able to figure it out by taking pix of my pix on my digital camera.

The first pic is of me, 1962.  I was 20 years old and this was my 2nd year of hunting.
the second pic is not of the coyote I previously described as be the first documented in NY State, that was in 1974 and I don't have a pic.  This is a coyote I shot in 1996.  Sorry about the poor quality.

Sugar,That's a cool shot of your uncle. Man, I remember using those limb sox, they'd grab all the briars. Those Hilbre's would love sticking ya, without a hood cover.
Do you remember what bow he was using?, it looks over 60 inches. Where'd he get the buck?
What camp in Maine, did you get your bear?

That maine buck is huge! When I hunted in New Brunswick Canada I saw some deer with bodies like that. Their hoof prints look like cow prints. I didnt believe it till I saw them for myself.Keep the pics coming!!!

Dawg,Im not sure what bow it was. I do know it was over 60" though. It was a target bow that I remember.

Both of those bears actualy were from Maine. the first I took with Nelson Cole up in Thorndike Me. and the other was with Tom Hooke out of Strong.

I hunted Maine a bunch of times but you couldnt get me to go there on a bet now.

I'm not a bear man, I went once to Bowlin Camps in the 80's. It didn't do anything for me.
I can understand not wanting to go to Maine for bear, I never saw any over 350lb., which would be a minimum for me to shoot.
I do have a bug to go back deer hunting. The license is still reasonable, but it's hard to find guys that like the "track 'em" down style of hunting.
I hope I can find a couple of slides I took of a buck that a Canadian guy shot, that was the length of his Chrysler New Yorker. It was the largest buck, I've ever seen.
