I went out yesterday and today, two very cold, but very nice days to be out in stand. Yesterday I took a doe for a friend who needed some meat in freezer. Today was nice also but no deer, some turkeys and some pigs were in the  thick holly bushes, I could here the piglets squeeling. good morning though, I stayed until almost 10 am. Good luck to all who battle the elements

Went out for some coyotes, saw one sunning itself in the middle of the road, had him in front of us, but never came in.  It was cold, but when you dress right it's not bad.

I was out with the predator call for a couple hours, I had a Coyote come in but he wouldn't commit that last 30 or so yards I needed for a good clean shot !

He sure did look good, sitting in the snow with the sun shining on him !

Got first NJ buck small 7 pnt.  Was doing drive for brother with friend when heard him shoot.  He told me on walkie talkie he missed and it was heading down to me.  I was in real thick when I saw antlers 20 yds ahead it was also caught up in thick brush.  It jumped to get unstuck and ended up 10 yds in front and looking straight at me .  It was sure surprised to see me almost within arms reach I blasted him, dropped at feet.  Anyway not bad first deer season 15 pnt illinois buck w/ bow, doe w/ bow and now my first NJ buck.
