I live in Barnegat not to far from Manahawkin WMA. I am interested in hunting waterfowl there. Any members here that can give some feed back would be Great! Thanks in Advance.

Its a long walk in to some of those spots and there is no way of getting a boat back there unless you carry it. If you have a good dog to retrive and dont mind walking a few miles to hunt I would give it a shot.

Thanks Patrick. I dont mind the walk and my lab is picking up fast. Is the bird action worth the walk? I imagine the sunrise has to be awesome.

Will chest waders and a float tube work well there?

you can only hunt on the right side of the bridge to nowhere.    goood stuff back there...

It's decent hunting early in season during week days, but can be invasion at times, due to the fact that the ponds edges are stocked with phesants. Also don't get mixed up and get caught on Edwin Forsythe Refuge can't hunt that particulaer area!!
